BACKGROUND

Örkelljunga

During 6 years I built a garden in Örkelljunga in Skåne, the south of Sweden .
I started with a flat lawn and ended up with big rockeries and high peat-block walls.
From Dahlias and common perennials I started to create natural biotopes and changed to grow wild species. It became more like a botanical garden.
During 2002 the garden was “finished” and that was the end of that garden.
I took all my plants and moved to Mirjam (my wife) who lived outside of Gothenburg. The new owner just took a big bulldozer and made the garden “normal” again.

Eskilsby

The new garden was 2 hectares wild spruce forest mixed with oaks. In the middle there was an overgrown bog.
The garden is situated within Stora Håltets property with national interest in old cultural landscape. It’s a challenge to make desert, screes and everything else to fit in the old cultural landscape.
I try to use the natural environments to create all different biotopes to be able to grow all kind of plants.
